Alright, so I've read a lot about the swap already but mostly it was from f3 to f4i swap. And I read that the f4 to f4i was a little different. There no tutorial on it so I'm a bit confused. Whats the main differences from a F4 to F4i instead of a F3 to F4i.

I seen a couple of bikes on this forum that went from a F4 to F4i gauge cluster, so I was wondering what's the main differences in connecting the wires?

I'm doing the swap soon, I'm rebuilding a F4 I recently picked up for dirt cheap but it didn't have a front end so I decided to do the whole F4i front end. Thanks ahead of time.

 

The connectors are different so you will need to splice in the wires to the F4i harness. Obviously the fuel "gauge" will not work, and the coolant temp sensor on the F4i is different so you will need an F4i sensor for the gauge to work correctly.

My one question is i understand the fuel gauge portion will not work but what about the low fuel light that you had in the f4 before? Is there anyway of getting that to work?
