Default gauge swap

Hey every one, I completed my F4I gauge swap but I have two extra wires from my bike side of the wires. I have a solid green and a solid pink wire left. Someone told me to ground them out butI wanted a second opinion. Should I just splice them together and then connect them to a ground? They said that the pink one was a regulator or low speed something. Would this not being hooked up cause my bike to run differently?

That Pink wire controls the Air Vent Relay. The relay is turned on and off depending on if the bike is moving above or below 12mph. I would think that if it's not functioning, then there are going to be performance issues either during high speed or low speed operations. If you ground that wire, the Air Vent Relay will be on all the time. It will turn off when the key is turned off since the supply voltage is controlled by the ignition switch. How well or not so well the bike performs afterword I don't know. Let us know what you find out.

If you do a guage swap, can you wind the odometer to your previous amount of miles?

and about how much will a gauge swap cost? I need to do it on my bike. The trip meter doesnt work, the middle speedometer light is out so I cant see 45-85 at night, and either my thermostat gauge is broken or the actual part is messed up.

My swap cost me 53 dollars. I got the gauges dirt cheap for 50. The rest was for bolts and spacers. The only real cost is the gauges and how ever you are going to mount them.
