Default f4 dyno results

Ok so I went to a dyno session - that means no forced air bonus. Of the 3 F4's there I made only 85hp (D&D), a friend made 97 (D&D) and a guy with a hindle got 101hp

I got home and started doing some math - calculating rpm from the given speed with the gearing/tire size I have. The following are some of the graphs I made up. Note I'm -1,+2 so the 3rd gear top speed is down 14% from stock.

peak calculated tork of 38.
peak measured hp 85.2

I notice a few spots on my derived torque curve that are flat... I also think I ran a bit rich on the dyno. I've got some tuning to do it looks like - I'll repost new values when I get chance to clean the cobwebs out... I figure I can get near the 100hp real world rear tire horsepower... plus a few when the forced air gets going.

Still - the bike scoots and it's got a fairly flat torque curve.

No problem - I'll try to post again when I've got it all sorted out... I was a bit disappointed with these results and realize there is a lot of room for improvement.

Seems like I've got to go over the jetting - suggested it might need shimming... checking the carb sync and new plugs changed the oil wouldn't hurt. Chain was cleanish but again probably lost a few % there that I didn't need to.

I guess what it does show is that you can loose alot of power - and that three bikes can have a huge hp range... these 3 bikes were spread out in a ~15 peak hp range
