Default Custom Shorty D&D.

Ok as I have mentioned before, I have a polished D&D canister thats was all rashed up from a lowside (Deal's Gap). Well I took it apart and cut the rashed areas out as much as I could and rotated the sleeve so what was facing the wheel faced out now. Shortened it to about 10 or 11". Re-riveted it and mounted it. Well, it looks kewl, but its louder than sin itself. At 5k it is as loud as it was before at 10k. I wonder if I can repack it and make it quieter? Anyhow heres the pix of it. I will try to get a sound clip tomorrow.

It looks killer man. I'v thought about going to shorty route on my bike, but I like the way it sounds now. My slip on is long and it kinda bothers me, but it's nice since the sound stay away from me for the most part.

Hey looks like mine. I too cut mine, took 7" out of it and I can say that it is pretty loud. out of everyone I've ridden with I'm the loudest.

I guess the process would work for a carbon D&D also. and I dont know as much as I should on this subject I know the D&D is strait threw would the short'n of the slip on make less back pressure and I would have to worry about the jetting of my carbs or does it just effect the sound?
