Cool Crash Protectors/Bungs

Hi All,
Just about to order these for my 99' CBR... just wondering anyone else have these? They simply go through the faring into the standard mounting hole and require no drilling (which is what I want!). Look good with red detailing and felt solid enough when I saw them on another 2000 CBR so gonna get these ordered.

Just wanted a quick sanity check first:

  1. Anyone else got these particular make?
  2. Can people post some pictures of faring Bungs they have on their F4's?

i dont see them being quite as solid as the other style that has to be cut into the fairing, since the mounting location probably isnt as sturdy. but it would still protect the bike against most damage in case of being tipped over while parked, or at a low speed. but in a high speed accident, i dont see sliders being very effective anyway since the whole bike will likely be crunched anyway. so i dont see them being any problem.

Yeah, I don't expect them to save the bike at 160mph lol, but falls, and very slow drops etc, they can't be bad and lets be honest, if I come off at serious speed and they rip the faring off, well it was going to hell anyway so no difference. Just wondered if anyone had these paticular ones, it was these or RGD ones...

I would actually expect them to snap off even at lower speeds. I know it sucks to drop $60-$70 on a good set hoping to never have to use it them. But trust me go with ones that have replaceable pucks. Because if you do end up going down they will so their job. And trust me it makes your day soooo much better when all you have to replace on your bike is a side fairing and a slider puck. I like woodcraft frame sliders because they really meaty and my friend crashed with them and half of the slider was ground off but only the slider was damaged. There is also vortex and a few others. But remember you get what you pay for.
