Default Cooling Problem or need a new battery?

Hey everybody,
So i bought my 00' F4 last November and put on some 1200 km since, without any noticeable issues and most of my riding was just for pleasure every weekend or so. but now i started to ride it more often (to/from work everyday) and temperature started getting up.

So, problem is: when its quite hot, around 25 C (~ 75 F) i dont get any problem when im moving, but thru the rush hour when i'm standing still for long time in traffic and temp gauge goes up to 60-70% and the fan kicks in, i start to notice my RPM goes a little up and down around the idle RPM and i can hear the engine sound going up and down. and it happened twice that when im just standing still and the temp goes up and fan kicks in and few seconds later, the engine dies, and starts again no problem when i start it.

so, the two scenarios i have on mind are:
1/ my coolant fluid is not doing a good job, so the engine heats up?
2/ my battery doesnt have enough charge to keep the engine and lights running and running the fan as well since there is not enough charge coming from the alternator cause ur not running at higher RPM?

3/ or is that just normal???
