Can you convert the headlights on a 1999 F4 to the style of the 01+?
I dont know for sure what its called, maybe the upper fairing, or front fairing... but basically what im trying to say is can you change the whole plastic peice that holds the headlights, windscreen and all that and just switch it with a 01+ model? it looks like the line where they bolt on is the same shape so i didnt know if you could just simply unbolt the F4 one and put on a F4i one...

 

I don't think is a direct bolt on conversion. I have seen F1's and F2's with 600RR plastics,but it takes some fabercation to make it work. The ram air inlets are differant on the F4's and the F4i"s so is the cluster. I'm not a big fan of the looks of the F4i front end so I would never want to do this conversion.

 

you would have to change the upper fairing, headlight, gauge cluster, fairing support, and air inlets at the very least. You might be able to find someone to custom fit the headlights in too, but it might be cheaper to just buy the parts off a crashed f4i.
