Default Clutch dragging?

This morning i pulled into school into the usual sidewalk spot.. as i was stopped i held my clutch in so i could shift to neutral.. so i pulled up alittle on the gear leaver trying to get into neutral and i heard a rattling sound and the gear leaver felt like it was pulsing.. i had to push down on it like twice to get it into first and finally into neutral..

was this clutch dragging or somthing else and what can i do to prevent that..

my clutch lever was all the way in.

Could be ok. The bike protests if rpms are over a certain point when trying to shift into lower gears.

Otherwise, your shift cable could be loose & not allowing full disengagement.

If overly worn, you could get the same symptoms as well. However, the F4 clutches are tough & tend to be very long wearing...that is, unless they've been abused.

What type of oil are you using & how old is it. Believe it or not, fresh appropriate weight oil can make a huge dif in shifting.

Oh yeah.. i forgot i did rev it to my friend that was standing by me.. but im pretty sure the revs were idle when i attempted to shift into neutral.. i didnt just REV it hard and then pop into neutral.. but whatever lol hasent happened again so ill try to be easier on the clutch.. i mean its hard as it is when traffic gets going and someones stupid and slows.. i like to ride the friction zone with alil RPM and when thats engaged it likes to get going faster (its so hard to explain)

ill hold the clutch in a bit and rev to get going then let it out and if someone slows down during that ill have to pull the clutch in right away if im on someones *** at a light thats bad because i cant just brake because i dont want to stall out.. so i ride the friction zone until i have the space to full disengage the clutch.. because of that small difference in speed disengaging the clutch does..

so ill try to do that less so i dont wear the clutch.. i really hope someone understands what im talking about..
