If you are all the way to the edge, you are getting close to going too low. I wouldn't sweat it. Take your bike to a track school and learn how to do it right before worrying about how much tire you're using. I still have strips and I've been pretty low.

People that ride on the street and don't have chicken strips end up with fairing strips. I never take my bike all the way over on the street. Race tracks are kept clean and have sand pits and grass run offs. Streets have **** all over them and many imovable objects lining them. But if your grinding your pegs and have strips you need to adjust your air pressure.

is your bike lowered? because mine will go almost all the way over without scraping pegs...maybe your foot is too forward on the pegs also?

well see, i usually dont' go that low, but i have two corners that i try on.
I would just prefer if they were gone, they are unsightly
i was just wondering if other people's f4s did the same thing
p.s. its not lowered

I go as low as I care to on the street, I have a 1/8" chicken strip on the front tire and probably 1/4"-3/8" chicken strip on the rear.

Most people I see have bigger chicken strips on the front and none on the rear, so I wonder why mine is so different lol.

It all depends on how much you lean off the bike, if you're doing it properly and shifting your body weight the bike will not lean over as much, if you stay more upright the bike has to lean more.

Yup, I have about the same on mine and I'm taking familiar curves 1.5 to 2x it's posted speed. I agree with Hershey about lean angle... I read that if you're upright more then you'll need to lean more to make it through the turn, but if hanging your butt off the bike (changing the center of gravity) then you don't have to lean as much and still making the same turn. It's more efficient and you can put on the gas sooner. I wouldn't worry about the strips, I would worry more about technique and being really smooth.

If you are scrapping your pegs then you are leaning the bike to much. Don't worry about how far the bike is leaned over or your chicken strips. Try working on your from and rider position to get your body weight off the bike and your head in the proper sport. This will allow you to take corners faster without the bikes lean angle being pushed beyond its limit but definately hit up a track.
