Default Chain and sprocket replacement

Well, im going to have to put a new chain and sprockets on my bike. I am planning on going with the -1/+2 combo, i believe this is the combo that everyone said was pretty good, however i was wondering should i do a 520 or 525 chain and should i go with steel or aluminum sprockets. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can anyone tell me how many links you need the chain to be for a -1 +2 combo? Check this gearing calculator out. http://www.gearingcommander.com/ Thanks,
Josh
