Iam wondering if anyone knows where to get a used or new CDI unit for my 2000 F4.I have exhausted every other major issue that the bike could be having and finally I am down to the CDI unit. I am able to ride the bike for up to about ten Kilometers(Canada) and then it shuts down. There is no spark at this point but the in about an hour or so, and it is cooled down, it will have spark, andit will start up again. Therefore, the concusion is that when the temperture reaches a certian temp, it will shut down until it cools off.I have only had the bike a few weeks andI am dying to ride again.

 

You might wanna try www.hondaparts-direct.com. They have pretty much every part you could possibly want (all factory honda parts). I recently bought a fuel pump and filter from them and it was a great experience. I believe the CDI unit is listed under the "wiring harness" catagory so take a look and see if its there.
