Hello all, this is my first post on this board. I currently ride an '05 Yamaha FJR1300 which I enjoy but I spend enough time on the Foothills Parkway, Dragon and Cherohala Skyway that I have decided to buy a CBR 600 to try some real sport bike riding. I was wondering if you would recommend the '01 model over the 200o year model, were there any real significant differences between the bikes and does anyone know what year that Honda put fuel injection on the CBR6oo's? Thanks in advance for your assistance and hope you are having a good summer on 2 wheels.

 

fuel Injection first year was 01, thats why they are F4i...I personally like the style better on the 01+ models but I still like my 00. I just got a heck of a deal on my bike so I couldnt pass it up.

 

I ride the carb version, and only now at 65,500 miles am having problems with the carbs. in the UK late carb bikes receive much better reviews than early injected ones, better fuel economy, more linear response to throttle openings, being most often cited.
