Default cbr having problems

hi im new here and to riding. got me a cbr f4 about 2 months or so ago for a first bike. ive been riding it around no problems but recently it seems to be acting strange or maybe its just me.. i dont know. today i barely went 6miles and sitting in traffic i noticed that my fan turned on.. i was like wtff. i quickly pulled into a gas station.. turned it off// filled up some gas and turned it back on (no problems) now, why did that fan turn on? its pretty much freezing outside and i barely went anywhere! a few weeks ago the bike just out of nowhere turned off on me sitting in the light and i had to push it through a left turn.. i had to leave it off for about a good 20 mins before i could turn it on again, it ran fine after that. whats going on here? when i bought it the guy told me i might need an oil change about a 1000miles in. so far ive put about 400miles on it.

should i take this thing to the dealer for a checkup or what? i dont want to have to pay a crapload of money and turns out all i needed was an oil change or something even smaller.. i dont know crap about bikes.. any classes out there?

If you were sitting in traffic the bike will get hot enough for the fan to come on even though its freezing outside. Theres no air moving around it to cool it.

I had a full service done to my bike in OCT with new coolant and even whenit's cold out my fan will come on. In the summer time while riding in the city it comes on at about every other stop light. make sure you have coolant.

As far as the shutting down on you thing I have no idea, but I know it has nothing to do with an oil change being needed.

If I were you I would take it to a dealership and get the oil changed and have them give it a once over. Better safe then sorry-it your life your putting out there.
