CBR F4 starting Problem
I went away for a 2 weeks and came back and found that my bike wasnt starting so i assumed it was bad gas so i drained the carbs and put new gas still nothing..Next i went to the spark plugs took them out they were4 dirty so i bought new ones and the bike still doesnt start i checked the fuel pump and its working what else can be the problem. the bike is cranking loud and even turned on for a second but shut back off

Your battery may be weak. Take it to your local bike shop or Autozone to check & see if it will hold a charge. If the battery is good, you could have a bad rectifier or other problem. On my F4, the rectifier went bad & caused all matter of problems til I narrowed down what the problem was. I replaced w/ the newer factory version w/ cooling fins that supersedes the old version. Once this was done, all worked well.
Too, make sure that when you are pushing your starting switch that the switch pops all the way back out to normal position. The switch can get sticky & not pop back out all the way. This will cause the bike to not start. Sounds incredibly simple but that sticky switch will not allow the bike to start.
