CB1000R headlight for naked build
With this 99 CBR that I got, I'm really leaning towards going naked with it. I have always liked the wide open naked look where the bike is really seen as a bike (rather than a big plastic thing on 2 wheels) and since all the plastic for my bike is trashed anyways, no point buying new. Over the past days I had been searching for inspiration (mostly with the headlight) and came across the 2011 CB1000R.

So I'm leaning to that right now. Figured I'd post it up in case others were not aware of its existence.
Also came across a street fighter forum where some guys used gas masks over their twin lights and I thought it looked pretty cool as well (I'll hold on to that idea for a future bike project).

Yeah, I have always had a thing for the fighter style. Don't want to go WAAAAY overboard/mad max style with this bike (which is why I'll restrain myself on the gas mask for now), but it is certainly tempting. There is a how-to for carbon fiber wrapping a tank on here and it was an instant "I know what I'm doing" moment.
I know I'm dead set on a small turbo. Plan to hang it off merged primaries right behind the front tire (partially why I'm going naked.... what's the point of a turbo if you can't see it?). HP isn't the big goal of the turbo, I just think it looks sexy. The fab work myself as I have the equipment, it will just be parts collecting that takes time. So the thing that will slow me down will be the funding. The strip down is cheep/free, funding the back together might take a bit more. ;-)
