Funny thing is they introduced this bike specifically for Europe even though it will be here too.

That's awesome. I like the rear rim. With a fender eliminator kit, a new exhaust, and smaller mirrors, that would be fan-freaking-tastic!

 

I just went to the Honda website and, as I feared, they took the engine from the 1000RR and "re-tuned it for more torque and mid-range horsepower".
The engine from the 919 was taken from the 900rr and received the same treatment. I made the mistake of buying one of those and it only took 1 week before I took it back. I figured that even though the motor had been re-tuned (de-tuned?) that with 300 cc's more displacement it should still be faster than my '01 f41. Wrong. My f4i would smoke that 919.
Oh well, it is a pretty bike, and may be quite the performer.
I would only advise anyone interested in buying one that they test drive it first to avoid the very costly mistake I made.

Very sexy bike. My friend has one here in Australia. A 2010 model. He freakin loves it. I talked him into getting one when he kept going on about the CB down on power compared to the FZ1. I said who cares cause Honda tuned it for low to mid range which on the road it's gonna be more pleasurable to ride. He test rode one and bought it straight away. He put a short carbon muffler and I made him a fender eliminator for it. Here's a pic before he painted it.
