Bike starts and runs fine. Just basic maintenence. Trying to keep busy in a cold garage.

It couldnt hurt though could it? They probably havent been cleaned in well over 10k miles. Basic maintenence isnt it?

No its not basic maintenence if it starts fine. Gas keeps it clean. You'll probably gum them up by taking them appart and letting it dry out.

And if you take the carbs off you will have to sync then again or have them synced. If it runs fine-leave it alone. In the spring just get some good intank carb cleaner and run it threw-that's what i'm going to do.

LOL

Yes, clean your crabs first before anything...

Basically carb syncing is balancing the amount of vacuumthe carbs are pulling so they are all equal to one another.

Yes, you will need a carb sync tool or you could search the web for "home made manometer" if you wanna build your own.

Two things I highly recommend if you do clean your carbs is setting the float height and syncing (Iusually refer to it as"balancing")
