Default Buy individual chain links?

Hey guys I bought driven front and rear sprockets, decided I'd go +2 in the rear for a bit more torque for wheelies but still good gas mileage since i use my bike to commute and my dumbass got a 108 link chain like for the f4i which I realize now being about one link short i probably shouldn't have. I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to order just 2 extra links and master links so that my chain will fit properly and I can use my new sprocket.

To reiterate I'm on 16F 47R with a 108 link 525 DID VX chain, I apparently should have ordered 110 link, but whatever the chains already on with the old (good condition) sprocket and sprocket center isn't open to answer my question lol

Unfortunately I made this same mistake myself just a couple weeks ago. Nobody sells individual links to add chain. There used to be a thing called a half-link which is the roller part of the chain. You add that to a master link to extend your chain. My chain is 520 and I couldn't find any 520 halflinks and I found references online to them no longer being available at all. So now I have to sell my chain so I can get a new proper length chain. Not sure about 525 half-links, maybe they're still available. Good luck

Sucks, but you really shouldn't add to a chain.
It doubles the failure-points and focuses them into a small area of the chain.
Even with riveted master-links, you're really inviting Murphy to ride with you.

Short of a broke-down/stranded temporary fix,
I strongly recommend that you don't go that route.

Hope this helps, Ern
