Default How many links in chain (15/46)

Alright,

After overly analyzing and nearly having a mental breakdown, I've decided on a 15/46 sprocket combination for my bike (1989 CBR 600 Hurricane). My reasoning is that I can always swap out the front 15 tooth sprocket for a 14 for shiits and giggles.

So, with the 15/46 gearing and a 530 chain (while reserving the ability to put a 14 tooth front sprocket), how many links should the chain have?

normaly you just get a long chain, and cut off what you dont need. stock is 110, so 120 should be plenty.

Thanks Trip,

I agree, but since I'm purchasing the chain bran new and have the option to choose how ever many links i need (100-120) I was hoping I could manage to avoid having to resize it by choosing the one with the correct amount of links for my application.

Since I am buying a stock front sprocket and a rear with 46 teeth (2 more than stock) I was wondering if buying a chain with 2 more links than stock (112 as opposed to the stock 110) would work out ok?

Thanks
