Hi,

My brake light is a little circular-type light (see picture).
I have a really dim brakelight when either my front or pedal brake is applied. I am concerned about getting rear-ended in traffic so I want to fix this. The bike has to essentially be riding at night time to see a "slight" increase in the tail light, even when I have charger plugged in.

Do I need a new lightbulb (if so, which kind and where to get?) Or is it another problem that I can't figure out? It's so dim!

 

Unfortunately, many of the aftermarket undertails have poor lighting. Are your lights bulbs or LEDs? Also, check your wiring to see that its all connected properly. Often, PO's have just twisted & taped wires w/o using proper connectors.

 

I actually don't know if it's LEDs or lights. I didn't realise that that was an aftermarket undertail? Do I have to take it apart to see whether it's LEDs or lights? Kind of stuck here

 

You should be able to take the seat off to inspect.

The OEM undertail/battery tray is black plastic. Look back thru the pic thread, I'm sure there's a few pics in there w/ the complete uncut orig undertail/battery tray.

 

OK I checked and it is LEDs. I took it by a few bike shops and they said they don't know how to get "parts" for that. And it doesn't have a "manufacturer label as such..." Can I order LEDs individually? What to do...

 

Know this is off topic but I do like that undertail style! The four lights are sweet looking gives it something else.
