Brake lights f4!!!
hey guys,
I am completely stumped. I cannot figure out my brake lights. They wont come on via hand nor foot. Ive checked (by eye) the switches by my hand and foot, i've checked grounding, i've checked the bulbs, i've checked the wiring (for disconnections and kinks). I haven't taken things apart. Still learning about motorcycle pieces. I did replace the battery but they weren't working before anyways. Where else do i look? or what instruments do i need? Did i miss any crucial steps in what i already did? Any direction at all with this??

Lights were working when i got the bike, stopped working a few months ago (shame on me for riding without them, i've been stuck and don't wanna pay for it). All of a sudden, they didn't work.
Stock lights, no led, no integrated stuff.
I'm not quite sure how to verify the connections to the bulbs themselves.

If you have checked your connections, your next step would be to get a multimeter and test your bulb sockets.. You can do this by removing a bulb and using the multimeter in the socket. If you have voltage there, you need new bulbs. Since you said they both just stopped working, chances are it's further down the line.

The key needs to be in and to the on setting when you test for running lights.. When checking for voltage on the brake lights, you need to have one of the brake levers held in.. I will post a few links for you only because I can show you what to do if I was there, but explaining electricity isn't easy for me. The first link is for using your multimeter and the next will be
