hey whats up everyone....im new to riding and i just purchased a 99 cbr 600 and i was wondering if i need a tune up or maybe the carbs cleaned but the bike hasnt been rode in a long time and it bogs in first gear. I have to give it a little more throttle but the clutch catches fine.....what shouldi do????

 

General tune up would be a good place to start. If it has old gas in it that should be the first thing you change.

 

sea foam is what ive heard other ppl reccomend to help clean out the carbs and other gunk.. might try that before spending X amount on a tune up. a small can is only like 3-4bux at the auto parts stores. and also, might spray some carb cleaner in each carb to help clean the insides

other than the bogging, how do you like the bike, im hoping to go look at one tomorrow

 

the bike is nice....i think i got a good deal....but im just checking everything out u know. tell me what happens with yours.
