Default Best Mods for speed?

I just got my 00 f4 about 2 weeks ago and now I'm looking for some performance mods for the bike I found the usual full exhaust and k&n drop in but what else is available? I noticed power commander doesn't make a computer for my bike either so if you guys could help me out I would appreciate it. Links would be nice to if you have them. Thanks for your help from a mewbie

Here's what I would do as my first 5 mods:

[ul][*] get full leathers[*] track school[*] trackday[*] trackday[*] trackday
[/ul]

IMHO, it would be more efficient (and fun ) to be able to use all the horsepower you have now rather than gain more horsepower that you wont' use.

Oh and since you wanted links:

Everybody wants to go fast until they eventually come up on a curve hot and don't know what to do. They target fixate on a tree and next thing ya know there's strange fruit hanging from that tree. I'm not sure if you're new to the F4 or to the whole sportbike scene -- either way you want to ride, ride, ride. Most accidents occur within the first 6 mos of ownership -- that includes peeps that've been riding for 10+ years. Since no two bikes handle the exact same way (especially in a panic situation) there's a learning curve -- don't do the learning in the curve. The more time you have in the saddle the less likely there will be a panic situation -- those occurrences turn into fun

Having said all that -- the reason you can't find a power commander is because you prolly got carbs on an F4[8D]. So HP mods would be jet kit, port/polish head, shave head, piston kit, degree cams and for hardcore stuff NOS or turbo. Except for the jet kit all this stuff is $$$ for relatively small gains in HP.

I'm not looking for any mods for the near future I'm looking to purchase during the summer and do all the work over the winter. I'm going to take classes through MSF and find out what tracks are somewhat close to me so I can get the hang of everything this year and have my bike hooked up for this year.
