Default bar end

I purchased a set of bar ends cuz when I bought my bike, one of them was missing... I tried to put them on the other day and soon realized why one of them was missing, cuz the screw wouldnt go all the way in. (the other side was fine) So it must have been the threads got messed up or something when the bike was dropped, I used a wire to test the depth of the hole and its about the same as the other side. so there is nothing blocking the hole. Is there any way to replace the inner part that holds the bar end or I am out of luck. Or is there a way to fix this?

The easiest option is you can get a set of bar ends which dont use the threads, they work simillar to how a rivet works. Something like these
Bar End CNC Aluminum Honda CBR 600 F4i 929 954 1000 B | eBay UK

Or replace the handle bar thats stripped (heres a RHS, couldnt find a left quickly)
HONDA CBR 600 F4i BREAKING R/H CLIP ON HANDLE BAR | eBay UK

OR you can get a drill and drill out the threads and re tap it with a larger thread, would also have to drill the new bar end and source a new bolt..

you can also try and "chase" the threads that are there with a tap. You need the exact tap for the threads and you basically screw in the tap and repair/clear the threads. You should be fine if you can do that as you have enough good thread left.

Sounds like a plan to me. Screw it in as far as it will go, note how much farther it needs to go and cut about a 1/16th more off the screw. The best way to cut a screw...thread a nut on it FIRST, then cut and file the end smooth and then back the nut off to re-cut/clean the threads up.

I lost my right bar end and bought a new one. I couldn't screw it in completely because it would lock the throttle... All I did was thread it as far as I could before it locked the throttle and used a bit of blue loctite to keep it in place.

I would slightly grind the screw and use some loctite.. although the other suggestions here were good.

I think I am gonna try that. shorten a screw sounds a bit easier than the other methods. Thx

Keep in mind what assumed said though. You may have to add a couple of small washers so that it doesn't bind the throttle. Should have mentioned it in my last post, oops, dang my humanity. ;-) The washers need to be small enough to rest only on the inside, threaded bar end filler. That way the bar-end 'floats' above the throttle cylinder, but won't spin on the clip-on.
