Default About the throttle/engine kill switch

Can anybody help me with this? I have a 2000 F4 in which I had to replace the throttle assembly. Now when I try to put the new throttle assembly into the case of the on/off switch, I tighten the two screws to put the throttle together and the whole switch assembly wants to mushroom out like it wants to crack and break. I have gone back and forth adjusting the throttle cables but to no avail. If anyone has any ideas please help!!! Thank you.

There is a little metal nub inside the throttle to which there is a hole on the handle bar that it fits into to align the throttle on the handlebar, by any chance could this be what's causing your problem? I know it's kind of a stupid question but it's the only thing I can think of?

I've checked everything, but nothing seems to work. It simply seems like the cables are too tight and are simply applying pressure to where the actual throttle handle meets the cables inside the kill switch? Im just straight up confused???

Did you maybe mix up the cables by mistake? I dunno, that is a confusing one.

Ya I finally got it to work, I dissassembled it and then put it back together and it somehow corrected itself. I think the cable was rubbing inside.
