It does have the wrong pump but its got a regulator on it but I ordered the right one it should be in today and hopefully that will solve this mess.

 

Did you go through the carbs and put in new gaskets and o-rings? most people skimp on that part.

My potential theory would be that once the carbs head up and expand that you are getting some leakage and maybe messing up the delivery system.

It sounds like you used a lot of cleaner. That stuff is abrasive and could eat through plastic components if given enough time.

 

The new right fuel pump.seems to have done the trick can't do too many fast passes around here at night, dam neighbors lol , I'm off all weekend so hopefully I'll get some miles on it and see, thanks for all the help.. Joe
