2000 f4 bike stalling, sputtering.
So I have a 2000 F4, been riding for 3 years. Previous owner took very good care of it but I moved, and a few job transitions that made me somewhat neglect it.
I live in New Hampshire, stored it in my house all winter. Took it out in April and it started right up. I put fresh gas in it and started riding ever so often.
After a few rides I noticed it stalling and backfiring or sputtering. Mostly when I was riding the clutch going down hills or off an exit. The bike would just stall quietly, but I could just immediately turn it back on while still going. I put some seafoam in it hoping that would help. Occasionally it would sound/feel like it was backfiring and sputtering while all the lights on the dash lit up.
I was riding the other day, made it about 3 miles and started to have trouble. It started sputtering/backfiring which made me lose some power. Then it stalled but I could immediately get it going again. About 2 miles later I was slowing to a stop for a red light and it stalled again, this time it wouldn't start, just had no reaction.
Tried for an hour, nothing. Buddy came with a truck, pushed it on the back and tried to start it for fun and bam it starts. Got it home and it seemed to start and idle fine but I was too hesitant to ride.
When it does die the start just does nothing. No noise, no lights, its like the battery is discounted or something
Any idea what could be wrong? Ive heard anything from a bad battery, bad gas, to a blown head gasket. I have no idea..

Check your starter relay. I just had my fuel pump go out (of course, I didn't know this) and after trying to start it for a while, the starter button just stopped doing anything. I thought it was my battery, but it wasn't.
The dash lights would come on and the headlight would go off when I pressed it, but that was it. But. If I bridged the two terminals on the starter relay, it would turn over.
I ended up having my fuel pump and starter relay replaced and it runs like the ***** now.
