I believe I found the cause...I pulled the gas tank and airbox off this weekend to get at the plugs...I did take pictures of the tear down in case anyone would like to see them. I beleive it is easier to get at the plugs by removing the airbox rather then going at it from the front and moving the radiator back..

Anyway...I pulled all the plugs...When i pulled the plug in the #2 cylinder it turns out that the plug came right out with the ignition coil...The metal part that the center of the plug arcs to was completely gone. I don't know if it burnt off or broke off. At this point I'm going to hope that it did burn off...or if it did break off...It went right out the exhaust valve without any additional internal damage. I did try to screw another plug into the hole and it went fine and tightened right down. I have ordered new plugs and ignition coils...I'm hoping this will take care of it...

My last question..aside from the plug being loose and wiggling it's way out...is there any other possible causes for this?

Thanks.

is ther a chance you fouled the filter and plugs by running the tank dry it may have pulled crap through from the tank

I replaced the plugs...ran great...then the same thing happened again. The plug in the #2 cylinder popped out again...I guess the threads are bad. So I can either replace the head...the entire motor...or perhaps heli coil the head.
Has anyone ever replaced the head on their bike? What do I look for in a used head? What about cleaning?

are the threads bad or are you not getting it tight enough so it vibrates and backs itself back out? I've had it happen both ways on my f4 over the years. The one that was stripped, I heli-coiled with standard sparkplug heli-coils and never had an issue again. Never change plugs with a hot or warm engine. It's easier to strip the threads if you do.

I have torqued all the plugs down to spec...106 inch pounds...which is approximately 8.798 ft pounds...I torqued them to approximately 9 ft*lbs...the service tech at a dealer i talked to said to torque them to 11 ft*lbs...even so I feel like 11 ft*lbs is just a bit more than hand tight is it not? Maybe I'm wrong...anyway I can torque it to spec...and it still comes out...the last time it lasted about a week of riding and it finally came out.
