Would you pay more for a Smokin Joes?
I voted No, but I'm sure most could spot the difference. Had a friend who had one for a while till he got his 900. Had matching leathers/helmet & I referred to him as a "Power Ranger". We must have got a few, as I see them around a lot & there is always one or two for sale in the classifieds. With my 98, we got the Euro paint schemes & the one I would have forked out a few more $'s for was the Tri colour (Red, White & Blue), but that scheme walked out of the show room. You see it a lot on the 900's, but rare with the F3's

I voted no... but there was one on Ebay I' saw a while back I'd have grabbed. Had 3k-4k on the clock, all documented and I think a buy now price around $3.5k IIRC. Think they had been using it as a showcase piece in a bar
I too am a no. I am partial to the color scheme's of the SJR, but I woudn't put that much of a premium on them. I like the 98 version better than the 96. The color purple that they used looked almost like it was anodized rather than painted.
i'm secure enough in my manhood to ride a purple bike...doesn't bother me at all...my SJ isn't real...mine was made to look like an SJ a couple of owners ago...got the bike for a steal though because the last guy had no idea what that infernal rattling was coming from the right side of the motor
I'm guessing it was the CCT, one of the more common things to go out on our bikes at about 25k miles and typically noticed when you get some pinging metal noises from the engine at certain rpms.
Low miles,cleeeeeeeean 98 model,if I had money burning holes........ :P
