A post about plastics got me wondering bout this. Let's say you had the chance to buy another F3 and you found 2 with the same mileage in the same mechanical condition. Would you pay another $1000 - $2000 more if the 2nd was a SJR edition?

oo.. I didnt read your post before I voted.. I love the SJ model... looks awesome. I'd pay another $2-300 maybe.. but $1000 to $2000? Hell no unless it came with a $2000 visa gift card.

The SJSE is a great looking bike though.

if you're a collector n have spare $$$ just burning holes, maybe, personally no I know its just paint n decals. Oh and it would have to be original n documented too.

Low milage all original with documentation with to much money burning a hole in my pocket and wanted a collector bike as a converstation piece... maybe.

For an every day rider... no way. I think it is stupid to pay extra $$ for looks. That is the problem with the majority of the new riders these days. They are all out there to look cool... not ride!

For me, for a 12+ year old bike, I'd be putting the extra money toward a newer model instead of into a set of plastics and some other minor differences that do basically nothing for me.

I love my F3, but that's a good chunk of money for a new bike which translates into a pretty considerable upgrade from an F3!

Edit: And yea, I don't think the Smokin' Joes looks great anyway (Purple, wtf). I much prefer my desert storm.

i'm secure enough in my manhood to ride a purple bike...doesn't bother me at all...my SJ isn't real...mine was made to look like an SJ a couple of owners ago...got the bike for a steal though because the last guy had no idea what that infernal rattling was coming from the right side of the motor
