So there I am trying to take off my windscreen so I can clean it up and bit and imagine my suprise when, upon my attempt to remove the left side upper screw (one that holds on that little plastic piece in front of the gauge cluster) it just sits there and spins. Now from a little inspection I can see that in fact what is going on is that the heli-coil that the screw actually screws into is just spinning in the mount there when I turn it and hence I cannot back out the screw to get the part off. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

 

u had a heli coil in it? try grabbing some needle nose and pull and turn to loosen if not drill a hole use an easy out and hope u dont have to retap the mount (what i did on the mirror bracket...sucked ****!)
