if you dont plan on keeping the bike, you may want to just throw in aplain old "slow" air filter, instead of spending the hundreds of dollars the jet kit + install is going to cost you.

Installing it yourself is pretty advanced, and I don't reccomend it if you're not very familiar with carburetors in these types of engines. You can easily wreck a very expensive component.

^^^ Yeah I thought about doing that. I guess I should look for an OEM filter. Anyone have on in good used condition?

. . . don't buy a used filter. Just get one from the parts store. They should be like $20.

It just occurred to me: Do you have the little rubber deflector installed in the lid of the airbox?
