Default Wheel Options

I may have to replace the rear wheel on my 95 F3. It holds air, shop is going to check it out and see if it can be repaired vs. replaced. If I have to replace it what year wheels will fit my bike? Is it only wheels from F3's or will other newer models fit?

This is not set in stone, so take it with a grain of salt... but I think you could probably use any year F3 wheel. If you used a 97-98 wheel you might need different spacers, but for all I know they could be the same. Pretty much the same with newer bikes I'd think. The wheels from other models almost certainly will be different, but it's possible that the right spacers will give you the right fit without much trouble.

One way to check is to check out the parts fiches for different bikes and compare part numbers. Pretty much a guaranteed fit if the part numbers match.

One thing to keep in mind with using wheels from other models:

If they use a different tire size it will change the geometry of your bike and make it less capable in aggressive riding. Depending on what kind of riding you do it may not make a difference, but I know I wouldn't personally change it from the stock size.

All F3 wheels are interchangeable.Only difference is paint.

F4 wheel is NOT a bolt up.Too much right-side offset.
