Looks like a bulb socket for a 194 bulb. Something under the tail used to light up. Plate maybe...

Got me stumped, that's not a stock tail if it's an F2-3. My F3 has a tool-box
compartment there. Here's a link to the parts fiches for all the Honda bikes....
HONDA OF TULSA OEM Parts Finder

Try looking your year/model up there and see what you can find out.

its a 95 f3, all stock expect for that spot i guess lol. Funny you mentioned light, cause I looked under the wheel fender (where the tire is, and looked up to the mystrey component) and there apears to be a hole made...

So it could be some light bulb previous owner added to shine down- custom color?? anyways I can see that those butt connectors aint stock either, so maybe that all it is, custom lighting??

Anyways the bulb wasnt in there and she runs fine, I had no idea until today when I opened it up! So I guess it should be nothing to worry about, right guys?

Should be fine, although if you're going to abandon it, I'd pull all of the add-on connection/wiring.
It just adds a potential for a dead-short/electrical problem on the long-term view.
