what year/style F3 is this from?
I've been looking for a new tank for my '98 F3, came across this one but I can't find any pics of an F3 with this paint scheme, its supposed to be from a '95..just asking since I plan on replacing my cheesily-painted plastics at some point so will probably look for the ones that match whatever tank I get
Also, am I correct that this tank will fit right on my '98 with no problems, no differences?
edit: great, just found out this is from an F2 not an F3 as the guy on ebay advertised, already paid too, damn..hopefully I can get a refund before he ships

Hey man, yeah just discovered that myself looking at bikepics.com haha..hopefully the guy will send my $180 back, but I found something that says it will fit but I have to change the petcock, but I'm not sure if that means to put on the F3 one or if I'd have to find one from an F2. Why me lol

I'm all but sure that f2 tank will fit without changing out anything, but I'm not 100% for sure, i know it looks the same as the f3's the only possible difference with it would be the fuel line size coming off the valve but i think its the same valve as the f3's, but you might want to ask around to be sure,

thanks, think I remember reading somewhere that the tanks are set up different, like the vacuum and drain lines on an f3 come from the bottom of the tank but on an F2 its all on the valve
Anyway I noticed the guy is also selling an actual F3 tank so think I'm going to see if he can just send that one instead, they look so much alike probably an honest mistake, hopefully we work something out I would hate to be stuck with an F2 tank
edit: well it seems the F2 and F3 tanks are identical, just the valves are different so I should be ok with it..just told him to send the F2 tank since any F3 tank I find I'd have to paint
