It's for hooking up the sidecar.

It's to protect the idle adjuster screw on the end of its cable. That's why there isn't a matching one the other side...

No seriously, it's to stop your pet rabbit from gnawing the attractive red paint off the spring.

Actualy, no idea.

It's a secure locking point intended for a chain or whatever strictly for security purposes...atleast that is what is shown in the manual

Its a piece of metal Honda have welded to the frame to get people talking to each other in total confusion. The only thing its ever done for me is get in the way when i've been messing around in that area. haha I would imagine it cant be a secure mounting point as any chain or security device would scuff the fairings in that area. Plus why fit one on the rear foot rest on the same side.

Its a hoisting point for when its in the factory so the rear frame can be moved around and painted without leaving any blank spots without paint. Its not welded on securely enough to be anything other.

my point is not to be a jackass so I will put it plainly. Look for the place where you can put a key and unlock something. I was surpised the first time I saw it too.

its really an over sized bottle opener for those times you have cookouts in your back yard.
NO drinking and riding of course!
