i have searched around now for a while and cant figure out what this "hook/ring" is for on left side opening right below the seat. first thing that comes to mind is a place to lock things or bungee things to. does any one know exactly what its for?

 

Just a place to use a tie down for, nothing special.

The helmet hook is located in the rear footpeg, this hook is for attaching your dogs leads onto when you are feeling lazy (only joking)

 

It's funny, there are so many different answers. It seems like it would be a tie down point, but there is only one. There isn't one on the other side. You can't tie it down from only one side, it would fall over. No one knows the answer to this. I've asked at the dealership and anyone who might know. No one really knows. If you get some kind of official answer from Honda, I'd surely like to know.

It was installed there so that people would get confused and ask what it is. I look at it a bunch and wonder wtf it could be for and havent figured it out yet...
