fixed the water pump today. but still over heating. the fan seems like it is acting up. so i bypass the fan to stay on and no luck still overheating and his is all on a cool day, rideing down the highway. i order a rad cap today. hopefuly that will be the fix..but on a good note ....i changed the chain and sprocket today went with -1/+2. much much better then what i had when i bought the bike it came with -1/-0 gearing.

Are you going with the preset 2 or 4 desgree advancer or the adjustable?

I'm using an adjustable set at 4 degrees currently.

im going with the preset 2 degree advancer as i ride some really fast tracks so didnt want to brage the power down too far

ordered some iridium plugs and got a custom can and link pipe made and mated up to my sebring race downpipes off to the dyno on Saturday will see what bhp it has now had 102 with standard pipes and standard ignition timing.
changed my mind on using brisk plugs they can go in my hornet i dot trust them in a race engine

nice fresh coat of paint to the frame. wanted to powder coat but the $$$ anti there. so i used chassis and grill paint..

"Our tough chip-resistant Chassis & Grille paint is designed to stand up to tough conditions both on and off-road.
  • Resists chips and scratches from road debris
  • Protect against corrosion from brake fluid, fuel and other chemicals
  • Protects against UV rays
  • Ideal for off-road applications
"
let see how that holds. last year i used a rust-oleum spray can and wasnt able to full strip the frame, but by the end of the year i had scratches all over

today i put in bigger jets 147.5 on the ends 145 middle. cleaned up the valves on the head. just waiting on my head gasket. also my 4 to 1 headers came in. my next project im going to wrap the outside of my air box in fiberglass and want to but some dynomat on the inside of my fairings.to keep the engine noise down ..when i drive by people say bike sounds good with the muzzy, but on the bike it sounds different. its just something im going to try. i now it a old motorcycle but i going to make sound like the newer ones
