You guys are bandaging the issue. The filter and exhaust shouldn't cause the mixture to go so lean as to cause that. Carb cleaning \ balance \ pilot screw?

with in 20 min you could put stock parts back and test run. that way you can be sure your fixing the right problem.+1 on given advise, our bikes are fine tuned machines, even a diff air filter can change air/fuel mix and make the bike run worse, same with exhast. Dyno stage one is recomended for bikes with k&n filter and a pipe upgrade as stated in other post. if you do the work yourself dont forget to hook up a flow meter to balance the carbs after re-jetting, an important step to get great idle and throtle response.peace

thank you for all feedback! kit will be here next week! i will post pics and hopefully a test drive vid. we will see im hoping it will run right! i love my cbr! i dont have the stock parts but i heard if i use duct tape and tape off half of the air intake so there is less air going in and if it runs better then it is running lean. we will see. keep me in your prayers!

Don't they require you to run a 50/50 mixture of gasoline and super glue?

Did you remember to sync everything after reinstalling the carbs? Do you maybe have to tweak your pilot screw a tad to account for the new jets?
