Default upgrade issue

ive already put a K and n air filter and a two brothers racing exhaust on the bike! now it seems to be missing and alot of popping coming out the pipe and carbs. seems to be running hotter also. i thought those were signs of lean air fuel mixture. will a jet kit help?

Jet kit is pretty much necessary now. All that freed up flow is going to call for more fuel. Stage one should work

Sounds like you're a bit starved for fuel! A jet kit should help get the right mixture running through your bike. Make sure to keep us posted on the change if you go with a jet kit. I'm toying with the idea on my 98 would love to hear the difference you notice. I've heard good and bad about going with an aftermarket air filter so I'll be curious to hear your results. Ride Safe

yeah i will get it real soon and i will post pics and everything. the only reason i got k and n was that its reusable. heard that stock air filters will do the trick also. yeah man my bike runs like crap right now. alot of popping from carbs and when the bike is slowing down no power i hope no internal damage is done to the motor

I'd put the stock filter back in until you get the jet kit.

Running it lean will ruin the cylinder head.Chew up the valves and valve seats.Jet kit will help it run nice.

i would go with dynojet stage one like im doing. it comes with instructions on how to install and proper needle adjustments so you can get the best air feul mixture.
