Default RE: EEERRRR OMG help!!!

I usually do what Pointman suggested, it's a common method around here.
Weld a nut onto it, or just a bar to make a T-grip.

You say you heated it up. Wouldn't that make the bolt expand and make it even harder to get out? What about cooling it down and then trying to remove it.
Exactly. Dont heat the bolt, your actually expanding it in the head.

Default !!UPDATE!! on header bolt

Hey guys i did every thing under the sun and nothing worked! SO,,,,,, I drilled it out...(waiting for the ooooooooooooo,s) well any way to make a very long and hard story short i got it out and no longercan use that bolt hole again for bolting a bolt in there.... LOL well the top of the bolt hole (aluminum) head broke SO.... im gonna go to my mechanic and have him weld a stud in there so i dont have a chance for a leak. As of right now the bike runs mint wich i am very happy to say and i rode the bike up an d down the block and no exhaust leak as of yet... i wrenched those suckers down but as soon as it gets put on the road ( friday ) i will have it welded in there .... can i even do that with type of problem? will it be ok for the future? let me know

i wasnt gonna weld t he bolt in there ... i was gonna weld a stud in there so i can use a nut to wrench down on so this way i never have a problem with the stud coming out and if the stud breaks in there ever again just have it drilled out and re studded .... but as of now there is nothing holding that one tube to the head other then and single bolt wich will eventually start to leak i hope not but it will in the future...
