Default Tyres

My tyres are on there way out, I currently have Dunlop 208's which are the only tyre I have had on this bike, I only use the bike in dry so the performance in the wet isn't relivent. I have never had a problem with my Dunlops but I am wondering if there us a brand out there that is significantly better. Any suggestions??? Also if you recommend a tyre you are using can you put the amount of milage you are getting out of the tyre? My Dunlop rear has lasted 3700 miles so far and would guess I would get another 1k out of them (I like to get at least 4k out a tyre).

Cheers

Mike

Bridgestones are very popular over here Mike, especially the new BT021s which are getting a great press.I had the same Dunlop 208s on mine when I bought it but they were crap, to be fair because the front was barely legal. As I've always likedAvons since I had a pair of RoadRunners on my old Yamaha 400 and AM51/52s on my old 89 CBR I bought a pair of the newST's and they're great, especially in the wet but that doesn't matter to you. I'll be replacing them soon but as they're a few hundred short of 10,000 miles I'm very impressed and will probably get the same. IfI was riding only in the dry and not every day I'd stick with what I like and get Avon Viper Sports. Have a browse around the manufacturers sites and see what you like the look of, these should help...

I hear the BT014's are supposed to be good, i am looking for a sports tyre that will last about 4k miles. 10 000 miles out of tyre is impressive I guess they are a very hard compound.
