turn signals
Anybody used these? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem= I want to out them on my f3. They say there is a nut on the back. Can I use them?
I have after market led turns on the back of my f3. And some aftermarket ebays on the front. That auction says that they have two wires each. Same thing mine came with. One yellow and one black most likely. They wont come with the quick insertion wire ends. Like it says. Just splice em in and they should be fine. Since you are mounting them onto the front of your f3 you will mount them like so:
on the right side: yellow to green - black to two blues
left side: yellow to green - black to two oranges
That is how mine worked out but there is always a chance that they are different so make sure you know which wire is the ground and adjust accordingly.
As far as getting them installed onto the fairing: the one bolt should do it. I am not sure if they will fully cover the old holes though, so some patch work might be in play here. The F3 isnt listed in the fitments list but you can virtually integrate anything with the right knowledge. They will be 12V compatible thats all that really matters.

I did not use that exact same LED blinker but the 2 sets I used (stalk type) on my Supermoto needed a resister on each blinker.

My situation was that the LED's would light up but would not blink when the turn signal was turned on.
Some people have the fast flash problem when using aftermarket LED turnsignals.
So after a bunch of research I found out that LED blinkers for bikes use so little power they won't trip the OEM blinker relay and resistors were needed to increase the amps to enable the OEM relay to work.
So I went to Radio Shack and picked up a pair of simple 8 ohm resistors $3.00 and wired them up and the blinkers worked perfectly, but there was no way to mount the RS resistors on the bike so I purchased a set of ebay.
Another option is to purchase a LED turnsignal relay that replaces the Honda unit, it was less expensive to purchase the 2 resistors sets.
I used 2 sets of these resistors on my Sumo.

Easy install the resistor connects to the positive and negitive wires going into each LED.
They will get hot after a long run with turnsignal on so don't mount them to plastic...
Good luck !
