Default Update

It's been a long process of waiting for ordered parts to arrive for this exhaust. I started by buying some stainless 2" pipe for the midpipe. I was then planning on making my own muffler out of some stainless or aluminum sheet, but decided it would take quite a bit of time. I just ordered a 600rr muffler which I will use and modify to fit.

My dilemma now is that the 600rr muffler has the midpipe attached. It is currently being shipped so I am under of how fitment will work as is, but it may line up with a small bit of modification. From pictures it looks like the tubing is smaller than 2". Now that I have about 80 bucks worth of nice stainless tube should I go with the 2inch or leave as is (assuming it will fit up). Opinions? I wanna get some ideas while its still in the mail. Stock tube size or the 2inch?

I had a 600rr pipe for my first undetail mod. I had to bend the attached pipe to the side a little so that is lines up with my exhaust on the side of my bike. Then I had a mid pipe with sleeve made to go between the header and 600rr pipe. I used two inch diameter pipe also. Beside that it went on pretty easy.

Default RR exhaust

How did the 600rr exhaust sound on your bike? Or is that why you went to the r1 exhaust haha?

It sounded okay nothing like my R1 pipes. It was more raspy then deep toned. I punched the canister with a screw drive and removes some of the baffels but I could not get it to be louder.

I live in S korea and the drivers don't stop for a bike. The guys over here ride with loud pipes and I see why. Now if I creep pass a car at low speed I can set off its alarm. Now I have no problems getting heard.

Default midpipe

I changed the setup I had earlier. I cut and fitted/tacked the midpipe together. I am pretty satisfied with the result. I am still un-certain how I want to run the silencer. I bought a cbr600rr exhaust but it was too wide it fit between the frame rails. I cut it up and tried to re-fit it to size but essentially just turned the whole thing into scrap metal. I found a youtube video online of a guy who has I setup I like, but still not totally satisfied. I will post more pictures after new updates.
