Trouble starting stalls at idle.
Hey,
This is my first post I thank you for you hospitality.
I just bought a '95 cbr 600 f3 a few weeks ago.
Since then i have been having issues starting the bike from a cold state.
The engine seems to turn over a bit then give up I have to give it about 10 trys with the choke completely open.
Once I am able to take it for a ride i have no issues I cans tart it right up after a half hour stop or so.
The person i bought it from didn't really ride it for a few months.
I checked the gas in the tank and it doesn't seem rusted.
Any tips or tricks you can offer me would be great.
I know little to nothing about the maintenance of a bike(or a car for that matter) so please be genital.

Take a look at this thread. It sounds like you're having issues with your choke not working on cold starts. I had the same issue with my 1000F (same type of CV carburetors) after it had not been started or run for a long period of time.

That's your idle speed adjustment. At what speed does your bike idle when warm? 1200 +/- 100 rpm is what's recomended in the manual. If your idle was set well below that, it could have been the problem.
(edit: also, keep in mind that our bikes with their carburetors take a little extra love and tenderness to start when it's really cold.)
