i read it, i'll have to go buy a multimeter, been wanting one for awhile anyway. however, after checking the voltage on the relay then, how exactly do i go about searching for an open circuit/loose connection in the blue/yellow wire, assuming the relay has voltage.
i'm also confused a bit about those instructions, after i disconnect the relay, how will there be any voltage running to it to see if it is even working? i must be an idiot ^_^

what i did to troubleshoot it:
unplugged the fuel pump - hard wire it through plug ends see if it makes noise consistentely - if it does your fuel pump works.
unplugged the relay ran fuel via gravity feed (take hose off fuel pump and plug it into gas tank.
tried to start the bike and it ran so i knew it is the relay. I ran a jumper cable from relay's harness which makes the fuel pump turn on all the time now when i hit the kill switch
