Default Tore my bike apart today...

Found out I actually have a cali model bike... Has anyone ever removed all that emissions crap? Dont I just look at the non cali version and reroute everything?

Will this do much for performance?

Also found out that all 4 of my jets are the same 135... is this normal?

Also must have ruined my carb float bowl gaskets, thats another 30 bucks I didnt plan on spending.

I bought this bike from motorcycle shop and it seems that they already did some modifying of the airbox on their own. The two air tubes that are up near the headlight on the fairing stay that snake down to the left of the frame are gone.

Weird, was fun until gas started spewing out my carbs, now I have to do it all again.

Also this is what my air filter looked like, I have no idea what happened here, doesnt look 100% oem or K&N

135's is normal for California models.Camshafts are different too.I dont know how much more performance you would get from smog removal but there is thread somewhere on how to remove it properly.I can tell you that I am pretty my wife wouldnt notice the difference so I left it alone.

looks like a homemade unifoam filter to me. I've made them for my bikes before. They are super cheap to make as you just replace the foam but keep the frame of the filter. They need to be oiled too. They get better airflow than stock filter but they filter particulate better than k&n
