Is there a difference in F2 & early F3 tails?

Is there a difference in F2 & early F3 tails?
I often see tail sections & seats for sale (like on eBay) listed as fitting F2's & early F3's (up to '96). Can anyone confirm this? Will a seat off a '91 or so F2 fit my '96 F3?
