temp gauge issue
hey guys,
i only have experience with air-cooled motors so this is new to me,
so the issue is that i turn the ignition on and the gauge rises shows 2/3rds full prior to even starting and with the motor running for all of a couple of minutes it tops out the gauge, so needless to say it's sending out a false reading.
also noticed that after a run the fan just wouldn't kick in, so this afternoon i popped the fairing off and wired the fan to run when the ignition is on just as a temporary fix mind as its better than overheating.
had a quick look through the workshop manual but nothings popping out at me, before i delve back into it when daylight comes I'm wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction?
and i'll get some pictures up of her whenever scotland gets a nice sunny day, could be next year mind P= haha
cheers guys,
iamhiding.

yeah the sensor checked out fine after i bought a new one of course haha, wiring also checked out fine which to me just leaves the gauge itself in question. the fan still kicks in when its supposed to so it's no biggie, just one of those things.
