Default TBI upgrade?

Is it possible?

I know the bore and stroke are different than the f4i but the displacement is the same so fuel needs would be about right.

Obviously cam sensors might be an issue and the crank sensor but those issues could be countered with a bit of work...

Does an f4i engine fit into an f3 frame?

Fuel injection rocks and it was a great upgraded on my 74 chevy blazer... Why not on my CBR?

Any ideas or input?

I am more than capable of splicing a f4i harness to an old bike but the sensors may be the hard part

it would be cheaper to sell your bike, and buy an f4i for the work it would need. im not telling you it cant be done, im telling you its going to be a ton of work.

as far as a direct swap, its gonna be staying in the carb F family. i know f2's are bolt on for sure.
However, I've seen lots of kids put 900rr engines in these guys with a little frame mount modification.

If you change out the harness, CDI and guages, with a complete motor/carb
package, it would probably be do-able. If you like to tinker and have the tools,
room/setup and skills for the job. But, I have to agree with Spice, it would definetly be a full winter project.

keep in mind youd need a whole new assortment of parts for a bigger engine, including bigger brakes, different suspension to accommodate the weight and the balance issue.
the list is larger than you would think for it to be "safe"
